Launched by the Chartered Institute of Building in 2010, the Art of Building is the biggest architectural photography competition of its kind. The free-to-enter international contest showcases the best digital photos of the built environment.
During a time when anyone can be a photographer, the competition attracts thousands of entries from around the globe. The pool is first narrowed down to a shortlist of about 200 entries in the first round of judging. Then, a second 3-person panel of judges — which consists of professional photographers and photography critics and buyers — select the final 12 photos.
Starting today until January 23, the public can vote online to decide which finalist photo will scoop up the £3,000 grand prize. To say the least, the photos are stunning. The winner will be revealed February 8.
