Craving a new architectural history book or film to consume? Perhaps you'll want to start with the Society of Architectural Historians' 2017 award-winning titles. Every year, the SAH honors the art of storytelling of the built environment in the Publication Awards and the Award for Film and Video. The Publication Awards recognize the best published narratives on architectural history, urban history, landscape history and historic preservation scholarship, as well as architectural exhibition catalogues. The Award for Film and Video program highlights distinguished works of film and video on the history of the built environment, with no geographic or political boundaries limiting subject matter or production team.
The SAH presented the awards during the 70th Annual International Conference Awards Ceremony at the University of Strathclyde's Barony Hall in Glasgow on June 8. Take a gander at this year's winning titles below.
