MoMA PS1 reveals five finalists for its 2019 Young Architects Program

With the announcement of their shortlist, the 2019 cycle of MoMA PS1's Young Architects Program competition is underway. The annual competition challenges emerging architectural talent to develop creative proposals for a temporary summer outdoor installation that address environmental issues, including sustainability and recycling.
Once nominated teams submit their portfolios for review, the jury selects five finalists, which were announced this morning. In recent years, YAP winners have included The Living / David Benjamin (2014), Andrés Jaque / Office for Political Innovation (2015), Escobedo Soliz Studio (2016), Jenny E. Sabin (2017) and Dream the Combine (2018).
The winner will be announced in early 2019. Below, take a look at the finalists in the running:
