The Architectural Review has announced the winners of the 2023 AR Future Projects awards. The series describes itself as a “window into tomorrow’s cities” by celebrating excellence in projects still undergoing design or construction, which have “the potential for positive contribution to communities, neighborhoods and urban landscapes around the world.”
The overall winner of the 2023 series was The Anthony Timberlands Center for Design and Materials Innovation in Arkansas, designed by Grafton Architects and Modus Studio. Commissioned by the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design, the building was described by judges as a “tremendously accomplished piece of architecture and a great building in which to learn about timber technologies.”
