This year’s field of International Chapter Awards winners have been announced by the Australian Institute of Architects. The awards, which were developed to honor the best examples of work by Australian-based practices abroad, were led this year by Wood Marsh Architecture’s “delightful” renovation of a Parisian residence first designed in 1668 by Palace of Versailles architect Jules Hardouin-Mansart.
The project, which won in two categories, was joined by a total of eight others in seven different categories. The awards program was judged by NATION ARCHITECTS Principal Bob Nation (the Jury Chair) and four others. The International Awards winners were announced as part of the 2023 UIA World Congress of Architects in Copenhagen and will go on to compete in the National Architecture Awards program, which will be announced later in the year. In addition to award-winning firms, the Australian Institute of Architects announced John Wei Shun Chow of Metagram as the Emerging Architect Prize category winner.
