Architecture at Zero 2020 winners design net-zero library for the San Benito County

In its ninth year, the American Institute of Architects, California (AIACA), unveils the winners of this year's Architecture at Zero competition. Focused on project designs that promote zero net energy (ZNE) buildings, the international competition invites students and professionals to submit their best ideas. For this latest iteration, the competition partnered with the San Benito County Free Library in Hollister, CA, asking participants to create a better library design using ZNE techniques.
Juried by Paul Torcellini, Principal Engineer, National Renewable Energy Laboratory; Gregg Ander, President of Gregg D. Ander, LLC; Allison Williams, FAIA; Cole Roberts, ARUP and Marsha Maytum, FAIA, LEED AP, the group selected the following students and professional winners. Honorees are awarded up to $25,000 in total prizes.
