Farshid Moussavi, Young & Ayata, Neri&Hu, Mark Wigley, and Andrés Jaque have been announced as the five headline Awards in Architecture honorees for 2025 by the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
Leading the field was Moussavi, the winner of the $20,000 Arnold W. Brunner Memorial Prize. The British architect follows SelgasCano (2024), University of Virginia professor W. G. Clark (2023), and Carme Pinós (2022) to win the Prize’s 69th edition. It adds to a list of accolades that includes the 2022 Jane Drew Prize. Moussavi was added to the Order of the British Empire in 2018 and was recently appointed to the Mayor of London’s new Town Architects committee.

The New Zealand-born Wigley was singled out among the four $10,000 Arts and Letters Award winners for his commitment to exploring ideas in architecture. He joins his wife and frequent creative collaborator, Beatriz Colomina, who received the same honor last year. Wigley teaches currently at Columbia GSAPP, where Jacque serves as Dean.

The members of this year’s selection committee were Meejin Yoon (chair), Elizabeth Diller, Michael Maltzan, Toshiko Mori, Annabelle Selldorf, and Nader Tehrani.
