This Fall, the Harvard GSD is presenting ‘Architecture as an Instruction-Based Art’, a timely, inward-looking treatise on the process for architecture being staged at a moment when AI and other technological advances made in the realm of computer-aided design have spurred significant changes within the profession.
Through examples of construction coordination drawings produced from around the world, the exhibition hopes to provide insights for design professionals by focusing on the documents as a tool rather than an aid. It is being curated by professor of practice Farshid Moussavi with assistance from Class of 2025 M.Arch candidate Abby Kuohn. The exhibition, which is open now, remains on view in the Druker Design Gallery through October 15th. A special presentation moderated by Moussavi will be held live from Gund Hall next Tuesday, September 3rd at 6:30 pm. Those outside of the Boston area can view a livestream recording of the event here.
