This spring in Montreal, be sure not to miss the Canadian Centre for Architecture’s look at the climate implications and appeal inherent in the popular Rhône Glacier in Switzerland. Curators for Oscillating Spaces promote its examination there as a useful case study that will, in turn, answer questions lingering over architecture’s ability to adapt to unstable environmental conditions. Everything from spiritual claims to the land to tourism to military and transportation infrastructure will be considered as it unpacks the consequences of glacier regression caused by climate change. The dates for the exhibition are April 25th to October 26th, 2025.
