What a way to have a private movie screening — well, at least on an iPad. Designer Stijn Vossen from The Netherlands gave us the scoop of his "wheelbarrow cinema" project called The Kruiscope, which recently won first place in a 1 square meter cinema design competition.
Take a peek at the project right below.
Project description:
"The Kruiscope (wheelbarrow-cinema) won the design competition for a 1 square meter cinema that was organized by the Architectuur Centrum Nijmegen (Centre for Architecture in Nijmegen). It was inspired by Oscar Dominguez' Wheelbarrow from 1937 and Marcel Duchamp's Bicycle Wheel from 1913."
"The exterior is inspired by a stereotype Cinema auditorium while the inside has a typical cinema-interior feel."
"Materials include anthracite washed scaffolding-wood box on a pine construction, orange felt on the inside, a transparant acryl roof and a chopperwheel on the front. The object had to be tiltable and still usable for watching movies on an iPad."
